Insomnia
With all my might I sit tight
An write well into the night
No need to fight sleep I do this simply right
Until the Sun peeps in and the day gets bright
My eyes aren’t blurry nothing impeding my sight
I do this in the darkness no need to waste the light
If I get bags under my eyes that’s the only blight
I rest in bed no tiredness not even slight
Maybe I need a change of scenery I should hop on a flight
Possibly soon but I wish it was somehow tonight
I guess I could watch a scary movie but I don’t easily fright
What about going online let’s see who’s still on Skype?
Not a soul that’s so cold I’m feeling alone alright
It’s not that bad I’m not mad this is just my life
Insomnia is more than my mistress you could say she’s my wife
