Sorry about that, it’s Jay Mullings from Written Mirror. I haven’t been on here in a while, “it’s been a long time I shouldn’t have left you…”*Timmy Voice* If you’ve been following me elsewhere you will know I’ve been very busy on other platforms. The likes of (no pun intended) Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Unsplash to name a few. Oh yeah, let me not forget Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Napster, Amazon Music and the like. Properly getting after it!

Speaking of Unsplash, in April I had just passed the 500K threshold and look at me now! Another time I’ll get back into why Unsplash is a gift and curse. Today however, is not that day and I want to stay on topic. Happy 1WPM Day!
So, with that being said, I appreciate the patience in awaiting my return to the Written Mirror site. I come baring great news; my debut EP as ‘Wicked Penman’, ‘1WPM’ is finally here and I couldn’t be happier! Also, let me add; I am simultaneously nearing 100 videos on YouTube (Coincidence or fate? You decide…). It’s more like luck but still a lowkey flex to be celebrating multiple milestones at once!

It’s been a long time coming, in fact, my EP was originally meant for release in the summer of 2019! However, I must say it worked out for the best. Try listening to ‘Open Eyes’ and ‘One More’ for instance; you have lockdown to thank for them. The work that went in and the having to soldier through whilst the world falls apart was interesting. I feel like I have grown from this. What about you?

I’m not here to brag, I’m not here to boast, I just came by to spread some joy today. However, pardon my manners; how have you been? How are things within your respective family units? You’ve taken a few losses as well? I empathise totally! Some are no longer with us due to natural causes, others were too special to stay with us through this muck of a year called 2020! Still, where there is purpose there is life, for there is none without it…

We celebrate those we lost whilst we embrace those we have. We must continue to grow from the stern tests life places in front of us! There has to be rain to balance out the sunshine. Although, this is England; so we don’t get much sunshine to be fair. Make the best of life while you can…
How Will You Celebrate 1WPM
That is a great question! Truthfully, I am having to wear the marketing hat now. I need to do this project justice in a number of ways. Firstly, I need to be more active in serving you my supporters. That means more time on Written Mirror and also it means I have to put more products in front of you! That’s right I need you to get your merchandise, books and binge the YouTube videos etc…
Alright, I admit that wasn’t much of an answer as much as it was a plug. I would love to tell you there are plans to fly off somewhere (preferably hot) but that isn’t the case. Instead what I will do is look back fondly on far I have come and plot where I need to go from now until 2021.
Recharge the 1WPM Batteries
Well, my gym charged me so I may as well get some reps in this month! The stimulation could do wonders for my spirit. It’s been nonstop for the past 6 months. I need a good stretch, some bench and some rest. Come back a more Wicked Penman! Ha-Ha…
What’s Next Now 1WPM is Done?
I’m happy you asked! You know how much I appreciate a grand plan of action. Let’s just say I am armed and ready to shot some major shots in 2021. Allow me just a little respite and I’ll be back with a high grade of tea!
