Dare to Dream

They hate me because I dare to dream

I have the audacity and the wish to be seen

I buck their trends I go against their theme

I do it alone without the need for a team

I trail blaze, I lay a path so clean

They respond the only way they know how, by being mean

Trying desperately to wreck my self-esteem

My head is in the clouds so they tug at my feet

Provoking me to anger they want to see street

So I smile while inside I kiss my teeth

When pressed for words I tell them, “Move Yuh Bloodcleete”

Stopping me reaching my goal, this they will never achieve
