The Olympic Experience
The Olympics are gone
All the events have been done
The athletes have shown who is number one
Of course its the fans
Who have supported as planned
You deserve a lot of thanks
Was it the best ever?
Despite the awful weather
One wished for much better
The sports were great
Whether early or late
Arenas filled at alarming rates
Shame about the empty seats
Void of peeps
The Olympics must accept defeat
Corporate tickets that weren’t redeemed
With no entry it would seem
That money is the only theme
The security was strict
They read the script
Nothing allowed to ruin the trip
The volunteers so polite
Whether day or night
They gave their best and deserve some rest
Transport didn’t fail
The workers I hail
For helping maintain a smooth sail
To London 2012
Many predicted it would be hell
Now you have the final laugh having done so well
