The Journey
I want to reach my destination but this is not the end
I try to walk a straight line even when the road bends
I can just about see the horizon if I adjust my lens
Then hardship takes hold, just wait for the road to mend
Let me try to build a bridge but first let me call on a friend
For reassurance that my journey is for a purpose not just a legend
I want to climb the highest mountain, be the crème de la crème
To arrive at my destination, my only goal in the end.
